Will New Jersey Legalize Recreational Marijuana?  This is the hot topic since the election earlier this week.  Governor Chris Christie has been a strong supporter of NOT supporting the notion of legalized recreational marijuana in New Jersey.  The question has always been when will New Jersey legalize recreational marijuana.  The answer was fairly well-known during Christie’s’ administration.  But there’s a new governor-elect that may change this for New Jersey.  This is the hot topic since the election of Democrat Phil Murphy.  This Democrat elect will be able to have an answer to our question of when Will New Jersey Legalize Recreational Marijuana.  His answer we hope will be very soon.  Perhaps as soon as 2018 which is less than 60 days away.

We don’t know Governor Elect Democrat Phil Murphy and have not conversed with him.  We are reading only what’s out there.  We are not sure if it’s real or fake news.  There are many articles out there but when we see an article posted by CBS LOCAL, we are intrigued to take this more as real news rather than fake news. Here in this article, they said “Sen. Nicholas Scutari, the sponsor of a recreational cannabis bill says Murphy is fully committed to legalizing marijuana.”  Perhaps a potential he said, she said but only time will tell.  So perhaps Sen. Nicholas Scutari will be correct and we will finally know the answer to this question which is when Will New Jersey Legalize Recreational Marijuana.

How Much Revenue Will New Jersey Generate from Recreational Marijuana and When Will New Jersey Legalize Recreational Marijuana?

When will New Jersey Legalize Recreational Marijuana is the questions we’ve been discussing here.  There are many questions that need to be discussed by the New Jersey government.  A glaring question will be how much revenue will New Jersey generate from recreational marijuana.  This is not an easy assumption to make but much easier than if it were posed years ago.  New Jersey has multiple states to look at and their revenue generated from recreational marijuana.  Take a look at Colorado.  It not only has helped to generate direct revenue from sales but also significant indirect sales.  Colorado is booming in the amount of people moving to the state since recreational marijuana was legalized.  Because of this, people need transportation, food, shelter.  Just this alone creates significant tax revenue for the state.  All of the other luxuries that go along with living generate significant tax revenue for the state.  In addition, there’s significant tax revenue from direct recreational marijuana sales.  If New Jersey takes this leap of faith, they will generate significant tax revenue for the state.  So if Governor Elect Democrat Phil Murphy is reading this, go for it!  Make it legal.  If legalized, make sure to set up a medical marijuana side and a recreational marijuana side of the dispensary.  If legalized, we can add it to our Medical Marijuana Directory.
